Heavy Duties for Chinese Solar Panels | Made in Germany

Heavy Duties for Chinese Solar Panels | Made in Germany
EU regulators agreed to impose solar panel duties averaging 47 percent earlier this month, accusing the Chinese of selling panels below cost. But the move will also impact German installers and customers who sell more Chinese imports than European solar panels.

  1. Point is someone is being payed for that power being produced so they should be paying the difference in the loss to the Economy in Germany or lower power prices to help the Economy to help other company prosper to equal out manufacturing costs so Germany can compete in other market.

Spain Approves 'Sun Tax,' Discriminates Against Solar PV ( solar power )
Spain's government has recently approved a new national law on self-consumption of energy that taxes solar installations disproportionately. Most notably, the majority of self-consumers will be also taxed for the electricity they generate and consume in their premises, via their own PV systems.

  4. So the main thing here is the chinese banks help manufacturers to make them more competitive. So the banks are patriotic and care for chinese people. Why don't we do the same? I don't understand.

  5. Well thats stopped me from researching solar panels for my home. I'm not gonna buy some fancy "made in germany" ones simply because they have imposed a sanction on these Chinese ones. Essentially forcing me to buy EU? No, I will not be forced thanks.

  7. You people need to understand what really is happening here, where do you think these Chinese get these technologies? They stole them from you. So buying cheap solar or anything from China is like you giving them permission to steal. They have not invented anything from China, they all stole it from you. it would have been OK if they are doing business fairly, but they don't.
This attitude is killing the people who invents these technologies. Patents? Royalties? There is no such thing in China. All they have to do is re-brand it and sell it back to you. I can't believe you people are tolerating this. Eventually China will own Germany and the world if you will continue like this.

  10. Such a premium price point of $0.33 is based on the cost of building a new home with 100 solar panels.
The income would help pay the cost of the panels.

The State of Maine, just passed such a Solar Payment Policy that requires Utilities to pay $0.33 kwh for 20 years.

If California was to set the price at $0.33 kwh, this premium may create a solar gold rush. California needs a new gold rush.

  11. US and EU are always talk about how good they are on protecting the earth from climate change. they even demand china to do more on this issue, now china has make a very cheap solar panel that can reduce the CO2. but this is what happening in EU and US. they impose heavy duties.. what a fucking shit nations..
EU and US energy consumtion percapita is much, much, much more higher then china or india. and there are still many poor people in china and india. EU and US has burn the fossil fuel for so long. 20 years ago, the chinese are still riding bicycle.. but again, the UE and US want the reduction of CO2 is to be made first by china and india. and they also impose heavy duties on cheap solar panel that can help the earth.
    God Damn these country

Germany will open 10.7 GW of new coal fired power stations. This is more new coal capacity than was constructed in the entire two decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The expected annual electricity production of these power stations will far exceed that of existing solar panels and will be approximately the same as that of Germany's existing solar panels and wind turbines combined. Solar panels and wind turbines however have expected life spans of no more than 25 years. Coal power plants typically last 50 years or longer. At best you could call the recent developments in Germany's electricity sector contradictory. Can anyone explain what the hell is happening in Germany?!  Even China is moving away from coal to wind and solar. Merkel can you explain, German’s new and stupid policy?!

  14. Well, solar panels would change stunning German countrysides and charming clay roofs. But it's a necessity too. So installing them should be done considering everything. This has nothing to do with China. They just supply to anyone who demand.
