回复删除Hold on! If you have 2, 6 V batteries and you’re getting 12V out of them you DO NOT have them in parallel. You have them in series! 2, 6V batteries in parallel = 6V, but the amperage will increase. AC4OK

回复删除If you wired two six volt batteries in parallel, you have doubled your capacity but still only putting out six volts. If you want them to put out twelve volts, you have to wire the two six volt batteries in series, but your amperage is still just over 100 amp hours. Also, your panel is rated at 100 watts under ideal conditions. Rarely will you ever see that output. It is reasonable to expect the panel to give between 75 and 85 percent of its rated wattage.

回复删除I hooked a small generator wheel on to a 8 foot tall windmill and it charges 2 deepcell 12 volt batteries and I run a 800 watt inverter which runs tv pellet stove and lights just something else to think about

The batteries are in series, not Parallel. Think in terms of amps & amp - hours, not watt hours
回复删除I had been lucky to have thought about researching options before I spend thousands of dollars for batteries. Because instead, I had been capable of getting old free batteries, recondition them, and have a whole battery bank of almost no cost!

回复删除A couple of points, his batteries are wired in series (not parallel), so 6+6=12 volts DC. For amperage, series means current stays the same (does not double). Also the solar cells are not 100% efficient, more like 70%. One more point. Since the battery output is 12 volts DC it must be converted to 120 volts AC with an inverter and no inverter is 100% efficient. We will not get into inverter specs here. Choice of golf cart batteries is good, also gel electric wheel chair batteries. Car batteries are no good as they are designed to stay fully charged at all times. Bottom line, in reality, on a bright sunny day, with correct panel angles and all, your going to get about 50% of the amp hours you are stating.
