When I check on solar prices I could save as much as -80 bucks per month...ere wait that is bad. Solar sucks.

回复删除The 360 watts panel is NOT a more efficient panel. It is just a bigger panel with more solar cells on it. A standard 250 Watts(grid tie-in) solar panel has 6 rows with 10 cells in each row, for a total of 60 cells(6 inch squared in size and 4.166 watts per cell). The 360 watts(grid tie-in) panels have 8 rows with 12 cells in each row, for a total of 96 cells(3.75 watts per cell),(24 more cells then the 250 watts panel and less watts per cell). The Black looking cells are in fact less efficient. This is because some of the Sun's light energy received by the black coated cell is converted into heat(Sun light is adsorbed by the black coating and turns into wasted heat).

回复删除Yes, it is not only an ad, but a bit of a scam. You can't actually buy these panels. Only a Sunpower "certified installer" can install these. And this is so the installer can keep the price of the panels a secret and charge a huge markup on them. You can't compare it on price because the panels are unavailable to mere mortals. And you have to sign an NDE to be an installer.

MONO/POLYCRYSTALINE PANELS ARE THE LEAST EFFICIENT,UNLESS THEY'R ON A SUN TRACKER,BUT AMORPHORUS PANELS,WHICH ARE THE MOST EFFICIENT FADE TO QUICK,DUE TO UV DAMAGE,AND LOSE CHARGE,OR COST MORE TO MAINTAIN,BUT ARE THE EASIEST TO SET UP. OTHERWISE,POLY WORK BEST IN HEAT,AND MONO WORK BEST IN COLD. HE SHOULD HAVE STATED OVERALL COST,AND DIVIDED BY WATTAGE,SO PEOPLE WOULD HAVE A IDEA AS TO OVERALL PRICING,AND EFFICIENCY.

回复删除You would have to be an idiot to install solar in Australia. A friend recently installed at great expense a solar system on their roof. Their first bill was cut by $200 off a $430 bill; the next bill increased to $700 which they objected too. then their next Bill increased to $1400 with the condition if they didn't pay then the mains power would be cut off. Solar sucks in Australia as does the governments. In the state of NSW a large 1400 megawatt power Station was sold to a company for $1,000,000; & in two years that company has made an operating profit of $80,000,000. Australia is quickly becoming a banana republic with the political leadership at a very low ebb. People in Australia are forced to give back to the energy companies over 2/3 of the solar they produce free. Only Donald Trump would get solar in Australia.
